Our work spans both public-interest activities — projects, publications, and our community workshop — and professional services we provide through our associated activities (such as ICT support and repair, hosting and web design, and technical fabrication). That mix means roles can range from hands-on technical work to coordination, communication, operations, and governance.
When we are recruiting, we publish the full details here: what the role involves, what kind of time commitment is expected, and how to apply. If you do not see a vacancy listed, it means there is currently no open position for employees and no open board member spot.
At the moment we have no openings for employees, and there are also no open board member positions. If that changes, we will publish it on this page.
Interested in contributing anyway? Much of our work is done through projects and volunteer involvement. If that fits what you are looking for, the community and participation pages are usually the better starting point.
If you still want to send an open application, please include a short motivation, your relevant experience, and what kind of role or tasks you are looking for. It also helps if you mention your availability and whether you are looking for paid work, volunteer involvement, or a project-based collaboration.
When we receive an open application, we check whether there is a realistic match in the near term. If so, we will contact you. If not, we may keep your details for a limited period in case something suitable comes up.
If we keep your application on file, we do so for five years unless you ask us to delete it earlier. You can request removal at any time.
